Overview

Students can allow guests access to their StuInfo accounts using a St. Elber University Community ID. A Community ID is a special login created using a non-St. Elber University email address. Community IDs can be created here. For information about Community IDs click here.

Note: If desired, a student can allow guest access to an active St. Elber University NetID (IE: a parent works for St. Elber University ) provided the guest has not been recently enrolled themselves.

How to Add a Guest Account to StuInfo

  1. Log in to StuInfo using a NetID.

  2. Under Quick Links, click Manage Guests.

  3. Click Add a guest and enter information for the guest.

    • Email is the email address the guest will use as their username to log in to StuInfo.

    • Important - When the guest first logs in to StuInfo, they will be prompted to type their first and last name exactly as they were entered here.

  4. Specific permissions can be granted by clicking the checkbox next to each one, or click the Category checkbox grant everything possible.

  5. Click Save.

  6. The system will return to the Manage Guests screen with a message indicating the guest was added successfully, and that an email was sent to the guest's email to notify them.

    • This screen shows all guests and the permissions that are granted to them. Double-check that the desired access was granted.

Notification of Guest Access

Guests are sent an initial confirmation e-mail notice from the student's e-mail account informing them of the access. If the guest does not already have a Community ID account they will need to create and activate an online account.

Click here for more information about Community IDs, including instructions on how to create one.
